Creating a Youtube Video
I’ve been testing generative AI tools for a while now but recently decided to see what video quality I could create using my favorites. My main objectives here were 1) I couldn’t use my face or voice and 2) it couldn’t take me more than a few hours to edit. Now for choosing the topic. If you had asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up as a child, I would have said a spy. I’ve always been fascinated by spy gadgets, so I went for a Ms. Mojo-style countdown of innovative spy gadgets. Keep reading to learn more about how I leveraged my favorite AI tools and for the video reveal at the end!
ChatGPT-4
ChatGPT-4 is the latest iteration of OpenAI's language model that can generate human-like text. I leveraged this tool to create the script for my video. By feeding the AI with prompts related to spy gadgets, it churned out an engaging and informative script in no time. It's like having a professional scriptwriter at your fingertips, but it is important to fact-check!
Murf AI
Murf AI is a text-to-speech platform powered by AI. It can convert written content into high-quality, human-like voiceovers. Once I had the script from ChatGPT-4, I used Murf AI to breathe life into it. The result was a voiceover so natural you'd be forgiven for thinking it was recorded in a studio by a professional voice artist.
MidJourney
MidJourney is an AI tool that generates images from text descriptions. For my video, I provided descriptions of images I wanted to use as fill when I couldn’t find what I was looking for after a quick search. MidJourney is so much fun to experiment with, but there are ethical debates going on about whether it is right to produce these images since they are trained on datasets of original works. I’ll dive into this topic more in a future article.
